I’ve always dreamed of staying in a treehouse…
Kev and I had the chance to visit Charleston for the first time last month. Our friends Tori & Seth built these gorgeous luxury treehouses
and invited us up for the weekend. Of course we said yes! We’d been dying to do a getaway where we could unplug from technology and enjoy quality time together. This was the perfect opportunity.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to vacation in a luxury treehouse mansion, this is it!
So we packed our bags and headed to South Carolina. Pulling up to the property late in the evening, the house was glowing with string lights – it was so magical!
Every detail in and outside of the treehouse was stunning; windows from floor to ceiling with vintage details in every corner — something from a fairytale!
A huge four-postered bed sits in the middle of the treehouse beside a clawfoot tub and fireplace. Across the room is a fully stocked kitchenette (literally, to the nines) with seating for two. Being in the woods, we couldn’t believe how well appointed it was — the room was stocked with every necessity you could think of, as well as trinkets in every drawer and on every surface.
“I never expected that I’d be able to cross off “stay in a treehouse” from my bucket-list this year but I’m so glad I did!“
Pristine linens, essential oils and lavender soaps are some of the relaxing touches that make the treehouse feel so luxurious. It’s basically like waking up in a rustic castle (but with electrical and plumbing, of course). There’s even an outdoor shower for 2 on the top level of the deck!
The VIP Experience
Of course, they treated us to the “VIP Package”, which includes a cute basket full of goodies. A bottle of red wine, a pair of Bolt Treehouse mugs, a candle and all the fixings to make s’mores over the outdoor fire pit (Kev discovered his newfound love for Reese’s s’mores!).
On the deck there’s a pizza oven that they showed us how to use. It was fun to grab some groceries at the local grocery store and cook at the treehouse. It was so relaxing and romantic to cook together — just the two of us, a couple bottles of red wine, and Needtobreathe on vinyl.
A large two-tier deck is attached to the treehouse. It has two outdoor tubs, a rope hangout area, an outdoor shower, and a balcony with chairs so you can have your morning coffee while you listen to the birds sing. There’s even a swinging bed underneath the treehouse!
The whole property is gorgeous and backs onto a marsh so you have a ton of privacy. There is plenty of space for yard games, a campfire, or a picnic.
We had the best time taking a few days for ourselves away from work and distractions. I highly suggest taking some time out of your hectic schedule to spend quality time with your loved ones. There’s nothing better in life!
